In the lead-up to the release of Kanye West’s 2010 album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, the rapper premiered a new track every Friday for six months. (West named the series “G.O.O.D. Fridays” after his record label.) Now it seems that West is trying out the promotional stunt again. This morning his wife, Kim Kardashian West, tweeted an announcement that read: “Friiiiiday!!! New music!!!! #EveryFriday #Swish #RealFriends.”
Hours later, West premiered his brand-new single, “Real Friends,” following the debut of “Facts,” which dropped last Friday, January 1. Today’s track was temporarily taken offline after the famously meticulous artist tweeted: “Un momento, there was a slight distortion in the main loop within Real Friends.” The issue has since been resolved, and the song is currently up on his website along with a vintage photo of Yeezy.
